Coach Education

Whether you're a parent wanting to volunteer, a player exploring other opportunities to be involved in the game, or a soccer professional wanting to advance your career, we have courses and resources for you.

In the past year, nearly 3,000 coaches took part in the nearly 200 coach education courses in some form or another including our dedicated Female Mentorship Program, which is designed to train senior female coaches.

Player Development

The Ontario Soccer Player Development team provides services and resources to members involved in the grassroots areas of the game, 12 years old and below.

Educating and communicating with organizations, coaches and parents on the correct environment that young people should be placed to develop as human beings and soccer players is a key component of the player development team’s mandate.

OPDL - Ontario Player Development League

Launched in 2014 with the 2001 age group, the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) is one of the province's first standards-based, youth high performance leagues that combines top level competition with strict high performance training standards. This innovative, high performance youth program is an important component of the overall movement to adopt the core principles of Long Term Player Development (LTPD) across soccer at large in Ontario and Canada.

Match Officials Education

Welcome to a new era in self-directed learning for you, the match official.

Through the Long Term Officials Development program and the Ontario Soccer Learning Platform, opportunities to learn will be available on an 'on-demand' basis and enable us to provide the resources that you need to support your development directly to your desktop or mobile device. Allowing you, the match official to control where and when you learn.
